Our studios are dedicated to reintegrating fine wood working into the personal and public environment. Not solely as cabinetry or furniture but also as implements of daily use, intimate objects, ornaments, and tools that become part of your daily rituals helping you maintain a sense of balance with the natural world. Our equipment and expertise comprise more than a wood shop; we offer a studio with integrated abilities and media. It is a combination of fine woodworking, art metal, machine shop and blacksmith studio capable of fabricating a wide variety of items to meet the needs and interests of our patrons. From original designs to the most scrupulous reproduction of historic objects we have the facilities and know how to produce works of surpassing beauty. We can create for you that most unique gift award or trophy produced with meticulous craftsmanship and artistry, setting it apart from the ordinary to become an heirloom for generations to enjoy. Is there something that you have always wished you could see or own but that is no longer made or perhaps never existed? From medieval musical instruments to jump ropes and beyond--share your ideas and desires with us and let us translate them into the physical object. We are also experienced with creating unique sculpture designs, expressive works that integrate with their environments. For smaller interior spaces, garden walks, or courtyards we can bring new aesthetic possibilities to light.

Whatever your interests, for interior or exterior spaces, small objects or large, we look forward to working with you.

About the Artist

www.delaresstugdios.com | Delapsus Resurgam Studios

I am a native of Wisconsin and a passionate admirer of its wild places and hardwood forests. I took my undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin Madison earning a degree in English literature and Fine Art. I was impressed with the UW Madison Art department Sculpture and Fine Woodworking programs and returned for my Graduate education, my focus being Fine Art Woodworking, Sculpture, Art Metal, Ferrous Metal, Neon, and American History. After earning my Masters of Fine Arts degree I ventured abroad residing first in British Columbia and then taking a position opening an Art Department and teaching for an American School in Kuwait. During this time I traveled widely through the Gulf region and Jordan as well as India, observing first hand the similarities and differences from culture to culture of the use of tools, the development of aesthetic and the production of art, ornamentation, precious objects, and implements. After my return to the United States I ventured first to Alaska for a much needed cooling, then determined to once again make Madison my home and establish a studio from which to begin my work.
